About Me

With over fifteen years in post-production, Alan has the talent, patience, and know-how to get things done the right way, the first time. From Emmy © Award Winning Mini-series Twice Born, to TLC's Sister Wives, Alan has covered it all. He functions as an offline editor, online editor, and colorist, and often performs all three tasks on a project; allowing for a rare seamless transition between the three phases.

Alan is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the Colorist Society International industry guild. He is also an adjunct instructor at the Hussman School of Journalism and Media at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He is based in North Carolina, but works with artists and producers remotely from anywhere.

His network credits include work for HBO, SHOWTIME, HULU, CBS, MTV, DIY, TLC, Ovation, Discovery, Nat Geo, PBS, Smithsonian, UP!, and OWN.

Commercial clients include Popeyes, Golden Corral, Little Ceasars, SEC Network, Carmax, Credible.com, Nationwide, Texas Pete, Coastal Federal Credit Union, and Wakemed.

Documentary credits include KIFARU, Private Violence, Breewayy, Althea, Olympic Pride: American Prejudice, and Overburden.

When he’s not coloring or editing, Alan spends his free time relaxing with his wife and son, and playing with their dog Mabel. He’ll also bake you a pie upon request.
